NEW Bright & Uplifting SS24 Planner Collection
About the collection
When I was 21 I graduated from university with a Bachelor in Education and moved to London to be a Primary & Early Years Teacher. I worked in London for four years, and as a full-time teacher for nearly eight years; while there were some aspects of the job that I loved and found very fulfilling (building a meaningful connection with my students, seeing those ah-ha moments) teacher is not an easy job and definitely not one I could see myself doing ‘forever’. When I was in that place between accepting that I didn’t want to be a primary teacher anymore and trying to figure out what else I could do with my life, there were many days that felt long, challenging and heavy - so I filled my life and my classroom with little things that would spark joy for me, remind me to keep going and believing in myself or just add a bit of colour to my desk. One of those things was the annual planner I would buy myself from WHSmith at the start of every term; beautiful A5, soft bound planners, with colourful covers and pink lined pages inside. It wasn’t much, but it made planning and showing up to each day just feel a little better.
I loved those planners SO much, and when I started learning digital illustration and dreaming of product design, one of the things on my wishlist from day one was to design my own range of planners. Planners that were pretty and practical, that were nothing like the boring boxy planners that are in every stationery store - I wanted my planners to be bright, beautiful and uplifting.
So, in honour of the pretty planners from WHSmith, that brighten many a dark teaching day for me, I am delighted to share my new range of undated SS24 planners with the world. I hope that they will bring joy to many and brighten up someone else’s desk or just be a reminder to keep going and working towards your dreams.
